Enquire about your stay

A thoughtful first step

Bunyara Retreat House is a self-guided retreat designed for rest, reflection, and renewal. Because many people arrive carrying fatigue, vulnerability, or emotional load, we take care in how stays are arranged.

Rather than offering instant booking, we invite all potential guests to begin with an enquiry. This allows us to ensure that Bunyara is a supportive and appropriate fit for you at this time, and to offer guidance where needed.

Beginning this way is not about assessment or gatekeeping. It is about care.

What the enquiry process involves

Enquiring about a stay at Bunyara is a simple, respectful process.

After you submit the enquiry form below, we will be in touch by email to organise a call to discuss:
what is bringing you to consider a retreat at Bunyara
any questions you may have about the experience
whether the self-guided nature of the retreat feels right for you
timing, availability, and practical details

This conversation may take place by phone or video call and is an important part of ensuring the experience is supportive and well matched.

In some cases, we may suggest that another type of support or setting would be more helpful at this point. If so, this will be offered thoughtfully and with your wellbeing in mind.

What Bunyara Retreat House can support

Bunyara is often well suited to people who are

  • feeling depleted, overstretched, or burnt out

  • seeking quiet time away from ongoing responsibility

  • wanting space to rest and reflect without intensive therapy

  • able to care for themselves independently during their stay

  • open to a self-guided, low-demand retreat experience

The retreat offers structure and guidance, but it does not provide on-site clinical care or crisis support.

When Bunyara Retreat House may not be the right fit

Bunyara Retreat House may not be suitable if you are currently experiencing:

  • acute psychological distress

  • thoughts of self-harm or difficulty keeping yourself safe

  • a need for ongoing clinical or crisis-level support

If you’re unsure, you’re still welcome to enquire. The conversation that follows can help clarify what kind of support may be most appropriate at this time.

A note on readiness

You don’t need to be calm, clear, or “in a good place” to come to Bunyara.

What matters more is a willingness to slow down, to spend time in quiet, and to engage gently with your own experience without pressure to change or resolve anything.

For many people, simply allowing themselves this kind of space is a meaningful first step in itself.

What happens next

Once we receive your enquiry, we will be in touch by email to organise a suitable time for a brief phone or video call. This conversation is part of how we ensure the retreat is a good fit and that you feel clear and supported before arriving.

Response times may vary, particularly when guests are staying at the retreat, but we aim to respond thoughtfully rather than quickly.

Closing

Enquiring about a stay is simply an invitation to begin a conversation.

Whether or not Bunyara turns out to be the right place for you right now, we appreciate the care it takes to pause, reflect, and consider what you need.
