Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all stays at Bunyara Retreat House (“Bunyara”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By confirming a booking and staying at Bunyara, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Nature of the Retreat

Bunyara is a self-guided retreat designed to support rest, reflection, and renewal.

 

Bunyara is not:

  • a clinical or therapeutic service

  • a medical or mental health treatment provider

  • a crisis or emergency support service

 

No diagnosis, treatment, or clinical care is provided as part of the retreat experience.

3. Suitability and Enquiry Process

All stays begin with an enquiry process, which includes a conversation prior to booking.

We reserve the right to:

  • decline a booking where we believe the retreat may not be appropriate

  • suggest alternative supports where needed

 

This process is in place to ensure the experience is supportive and well matched.

4. Guest Responsibility

Guests are responsible for their own wellbeing during their stay.

By attending Bunyara, you acknowledge that you:

  • are able to care for yourself independently

  • are not currently in need of acute or crisis-level support

  • will seek appropriate external support if required

 

Guests agree to:

  • use the property safely and respectfully

  • follow any reasonable instructions provided

  • take responsibility for their own health and safety

5. Health and Wellbeing

If you have a physical or mental health condition that may affect your stay, you agree to:

  • disclose relevant information during the enquiry process

  • consider whether a self-guided retreat is appropriate for you

 

Bunyara does not provide medical, psychological, or emergency care on-site.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bunyara is not liable for:

  • personal injury, illness, or psychological distress

  • loss or damage to personal belongings

  • any indirect or consequential loss arising from your stay

 

Guests attend and stay at Bunyara at their own risk.

 

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

7. Property Use and Conduct

Guests agree to:

  • respect the quiet and natural environment

  • use facilities and equipment appropriately

  • leave the property in a reasonable condition

 

Bunyara is a place of rest and reflection. Behaviour that is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with the nature of the retreat may result in the stay being ended early.

8. Bookings and Payment

Bookings are confirmed following:

  • completion of the enquiry process

  • agreement that the retreat is a suitable fit

  • payment as outlined at the time of booking

9. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms are outlined in our Cancellation / Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

11. Right to Refuse or End a Stay

We reserve the right to:

  • refuse a booking

  • end a stay early

 

if we believe:

  • the retreat is not appropriate for the guest

  • safety or wellbeing is at risk

  • these Terms & Conditions have been breached

 

Any such decisions will be made with care and consideration.

12. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to your stay.
